NORDICUM Transportation & Logistics Special Report 2006

Nordicum 1 2006 focuses on transportation and logistics. The aviation industry has been in turmoil since 2000. Most airlines are still facing financial difficulties – also in the Nordic countries. One of the few successful ones is Finnair. Nordicum interviews Finnair’s new CEO Jukka Hienonen – he does not deny that Finnair will also face restructuring in the near future.

Nordicum also reports on the successful expansion of the Icelandic aviation and maritime sectors, yet we take a critical look at the poor profitability of the airline industry in general.

In our business culture article, we analyse differences between Finns and Swedes.

The transportation and logistics special report provides valuable information about maritime safety, Finnish and German shipping and ports, as well as about warehousing and transit trade to Russia through Finland. Read now Table of contents
